    Emoluments & Benifits:

    The starting Basic pay would be Rs. 50,925 /- in the scale of Rs.50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and such other allowances as may be admissible

    under the rules in force from time to time in the company. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 85,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centres. Other

    benefits such as Pension under the New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, etc.

    shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. The Officers are also entitled to the Company’s / leased accommodation as per norms.

    In addition to the above, Doctors (MBBS) appointed as Specialist Officers are eligible for Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) to the tune of 25% of the Basic

    Pay is subject to conditions that may be applicable from time to time.

    Selection Process:

    Part A - Applicable for all applicants other than for Hindi Officers

    Phase – I: Preliminary Examination

    The Preliminary Examination will be conducted online and is applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers. It consists of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for a total of 100 marks. The duration of the test is 60 minutes, divided into 3 sections with separate timings for each section:

    Candidates must qualify in each test/section by securing passing marks. Shortlisted candidates (approximately 15 times the number of vacancies) will proceed to the Main Examination.

    Phase – II: Main Examination

    The Main Examination is applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers. It consists of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 250 marks and a Descriptive Test for 30 Marks, all conducted online.

    (ii) Descriptive Test

    The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Essay – 10 Marks, Précis – 10 & Comprehension – 10 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and conducted online.

    Candidates must obtain a minimum score for each section separately in the objective test for shortlisting for the Descriptive Test evaluation. The Descriptive test is qualifying in nature, and the marks scored will not be counted towards shortlisting for the interview or final selection.

    Part B - Applicable for Hindi Officers Only

    The online written exam of 3 hours 30 minutes duration will be conducted in a single phase for Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers:

    • The Descriptive Test of Hindi Language will be conducted only through online mode. Questions will be displayed on the screen of the computer. Answers are to be typed using the keyboard.
    • For Hindi typing, the candidates should have knowledge of the following keyboard layouts: i. Inscript ii. Remington (GAIL)
    • Before the start of typing answers to questions in Descriptive Paper, please check all key functions of the keyboard.
    • Candidates will get 60 minutes to answer the questions.
    • Each candidate must obtain a minimum score for each section separately to be eligible for shortlisting for the interview.
    • Furthermore, each candidate must obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to the number of vacancies) in the Written Examination for shortlisting for the Interview.
