Selection Process:
Selection will be based on performance in Trial, evaluation
of Sports achievements, evaluation of Educational Achievements
etc. as per the rule/instruction of the Railway administration.
Only the candidates declared FIT in the Trial will be
considered for the next stage of selection.
No marks shall be given to the candidates who declared UNFIT
in the Trial for their sports achievements, etc. No
communication shall be entertained from candidates in this
regard.
Note-
(i) The candidate may have to stay for 2-3 days during TRIAL
for which he/she has to make his/her own
(ii) Dope test can be done if the need arises.
(iii) Videography will be conducted of all field trials to
maintain transparency.
(iv) The date, venue, and time of the Trial will be intimated to the
eligible candidate by post and will also be posted on our
website. Candidates are advised to keep track of our
website. The venue for the trial fixed by East Central Railway
(v) Panel will be prepared based on merit. In case
more than one sportsperson secured the same marks,
preference will be given to younger candidates to decide their
merit.
Conduct of Trial:
(i) A trial of candidates shall be conducted to assess their
sports performance/ suitability for the team of E. C. Railway.
Candidates found FIT in the Trial will be considered for
next stage selection. The following is the format of marks for the trial: -
Maximum Marks for Trial - 40 Marks
FIT candidates - 25 Marks or more
UNFIT candidates - Below 25 Marks
(ii) After Trial only the fit candidates shall be considered
for the next stage i.e. interview/ document verification. Only
candidates declared FIT in Trial and attending interview
shall be awarded the marks for the sports achievements,
educational qualifications, general intelligence, etc. No
marks shall be given to the candidates declared UNFIT in the
Trial for their sports achievements, etc. No communication
shall be entertained from candidates in this regard.
(iii) Distribution of Marks: - Maximum marks which can be
awarded in the Trial and Assessment of Sports
Achievements/Educational Qualification during the interview
shall be as follows
a. Performance during Trial - 40 Marks
b. Assessment of Sports Achievements - 50 Marks
c. Educational Qualification - 10 Marks
Total= 100 Marks
(iv) Qualifying Marks:- Minimum qualifying marks for the
recruitment through Open Advertisement in different Grade
Pay, observing the criteria as mentioned in Para 10 (iii)
above, shall be as follows
Pay Level Basic Pay Minimum Qualifying Marks
(a) Level- 4/5 25500/29200 =70 Marks
(b) Level- 2/3 19900/21700= 65 Marks
(c) Level-1 18000= 60 Marks
